Ovum (egg) Donor Recruitment Program

Thank you for considering the fantastic opportunity presented by our egg donor program!

By participation in the egg donor program, you not only get the overwhelming satisfaction of knowing that you made it possible for someone to have the family of their dreams, but you are also rewarded monetarily for your time and dedication to the process. Our current compensation rate is $4000 per egg retrieval procedure. Egg donation is very safe, and should have no affect upon your own future fertility. Egg retrieval is now done in a 30 minute vaginal needle aspiration procedure that involves no external surgery site or scarring.

We are always recruiting egg donors to provide the chance of having a family to those who are unable to use their own eggs to create a child. If you are interested in becoming an egg donor and you live in the greater Spokane, WA (Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho) area, you may call the donor information line at 509-232-0134 for pre-recorded information regarding our egg donor program. There are several criteria that must be met to be considered for participation as an egg donor. These criteria are in place for two main reasons.
a)-For the program to provide those using the services the absolute optimum chance of success.
b)-Donors not meeting some of the requirements are simply not in high enough demand

Our current minimum requirements include the following:

1-You must be between 21 and 31 years of age (inclusive)
2-You must have a high school diploma as an educational minimum
3-You must be a minimum of five feet two inches tall
4-You must not have a history of multiple spontaneous abortions
5-Your family history (through grandparents) must not have more than two
instances of unexplained cancers (non-environmentally or exposure caused)
6-We are unable to use donors that are moderate to heavy tobacco, or alcohol users, or users of recreational drugs.
7-You must not be currently pregnant, and if you have recently had a child, you must have fallen back into a normal ovulatory cycle and finished breast feeding.
8-You must have health insurance coverage, and it must not be publicly sponsored or paid for in any way (only used in case of emergency, donor program covers all normal costs)
9-You must fall within 30% (plus or minus) of the ideal body weight for your height (see below)

If you are currently using birth control pills, bc patch, IUD, or have had a tubal ligation (tubes tied), this poses no problem to participation as an egg donor. If you are currently using Norplant or Depo-provera for your birth control, you would need to discontinue the use and come back to a normal menstrual cycle before you could be considered for participation. The program does not recommend that you change your method of birth control for the sole purpose of participation as an egg donor unless approved by your professional health care provider.

In order to begin the donor screening procees, you will need to complete a donor history and submit it to our program for review by the medical staff. This "donor questionnaire" is available to download in pdf format from this website, or it can be requested by phone for delivery through the mail. If you have further questions regarding the fertility drugs that may be used in the donor program, some additional information is available on the "drug information" page.
